In May 2022 KZN experienced large volumes of rain (the most in 104 years). With this many businesses had suffered loss. Eighteen (18) claims investigated in a period of four (4) days across the North & South Coast.
Fire
A fire broke out at a neighbouring building which caused the insured's building to catch alight. The insured incurred a total loss.
Theft
Intruders caught on CCTV footage who robbed a liquor store. The insured claimed for stolen stock.
